Hi, I've tried Patch-Bot several times, and to no avail! It completely stalls at the 'Connecting' phase, and doesnt appear to have an open, functional com's-line with Server.
Assuming there is a problem a.t.m., please take a look at it? Thanks. P.S. I really wanted to setup some Paximinus'es with some Micro-HTL's and go for a Blam, but obviously cannot. hehe. |

Is it possible you clicked the button to show details? Doing so can cause it to grind to a halt.

Huh? No, I downloaded the recent Star-Sonata Executable from the website, and when it goes to run patchbot, the bot itself, stall's at the 'Connection' Phase, as I suggested. Same thing happens ofcourse, if you run the game, and apon login, it detects the need to run bot for updates!
So all those people that havent played in a few months or more, will also not be able to get back online as a result, it would seem, obviously because they too would need to run patch-bot. Last edited by Gardener1 on Mon Mar 03, 2014 3:03 am, edited 1 time in total. |

Might be a firewall thing… hopefully Jey will weigh in and solve this.

Are you on a school or college network?

No, my network settings are irellivant. My systems setup the same as it was a few days ago when patch-bot did work after downloading the star-sonata installer package!
So obviously, somethings changed server-side with how patch-bot is working since just a few days ago! Could you perhaps provide a new working version of patch-bot for direct-download as a particular link for us please? |

As an Update: I've since tried an older version of patch-bot from mid last year or so, and that doesnt work as well...
It would seem that new players to the game will go to download the installer, run it, then when their patch-bot goes to work, it will perma-stall at the 'connecting' phase as well! Please Fix? :-\ |

Please Fix? :-\ You keep making generalized statements implying your problem affects everyone else. I can tell you that my patch bot functions just fine. I assume it's a firewall or antivirus software that you are using. _________________ Never™ |

These problems are most commonly related to firewalls (particularly those on uni campuses where the ports we used are blocked).
Second to that, it's file permissions when actually trying to save/replace files, although it doesn't sound like this is the issue. There used to be a link to a full download somewhere, but I'm not certain where currently, I'll enquire about it. _________________ "What you mean you killed him cha cha cha?!" Support |

Ok, I shall reiterate:-
My System's are setup exactly the same as they were a week previous, when the same patch-bot functioned properly, and downloaded the latest patch's .exe file etc! Thus nothing has changed with my fire-wall, internet/networking settings etc! This sort of thing has happened before, and Jey, if I remember correctly, did infact provide a patch-bot 'download-link'. I humbly ask he do that again, or render the current failures redundant. Thankyou. |

I would normally dismiss reports such as these but ive just picked up my old laptop which is a few SS patches behind and its sat stuck on patchbot. Netstat shows a connection open open on the patchbot port 30030.
what do now? http://i60.tinypic.com/ankke8.png |

I'm also having the exact same issue. Nothing has changed regarding my internet or firewall settings, and there aren't any problems with my internet that I'm aware of.
Edit: Just tested on my other laptop, to no avail. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. _________________ Entendreal Entrepreneur. |
