When patch bot has done all the checking and downloading, it then goes to execute the dxredist.bat (dos command-line script), and that's where there's the error...
@echo off @cd actions/dxredist @where d3dx9_43.dll /Q @IF ERRORLEVEL 1 ( @DXSETUP.exe /silent ) @cd ../../ @del actions\dxredist.bat.running @exit The highlighted command line in red, when the "@where" command is used is the one that causes the error inside the dos window, this causes patch bot('s window) to cease opperations, and simply sits there waiting, obviously, for the dos batch file to complete... which ofcourse it doesnt! There never was a problem with this stage of the "Installation" of the game after a download before, so somethings wrong there for sure. I cant remember what the error was specifically, something like "un recognised command.." or somesuch. Please fix this before new-uni, or I fear that some users that have never installed SS before, or those not knowledgable enough, may not be able to play! Thankyou. _________________ There wouldn't be a Knight if it wasn't for the Black-Smith! |

Looks like you're missing a necessary dll.

It happened again, with the latest patch, which left patch bot window saying "installing.." and not finishing! The error is as follows:-
'where' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Please fix it before New-Universe. Thankyou. _________________ There wouldn't be a Knight if it wasn't for the Black-Smith! |
