When you're within scooping range of somebody and press X on them, you can have the option: Transfer to.
With this you can transfer items to the other player, and not toss and scoop. When the other person lacks hull, you'll get a notification. Making trading easier . Maybe even a /trade command? I think its like two inventorys where you can drag and drop stuff
Once the confirm button is hit you can no longer put anything or take anything away from "Your trading items". Once the other person hits the confirm button it completed. Also have to take in-account hull space etc. _________________ Fibre broadband in my brainzz! |

How about a trade box like they have on Habbo :3
Haha with double confirm where when you press accept you have to wait 5 seconds until you confirm the deal to fully make sure. |

Runescape system
was exactly like that with the box on left on right, but there was a confirm screen after that which was then added that showed exactly what was being traded where you couldn't add/remove shit because people would remove their end of the trade at the last second to scam peeps _________________ |

Someone was working on a trade dialog where you dock with another ship and then can trade items like in other MMO's, but that person seems to have abandoned it. I'd still like to do it eventually when we have time.
In the meantime, something like this suggestion could be cool, though it is quite inferior to a real trade system, so I'm not sure if it's worth looking at or not. _________________ For support, please create a support ticket here and I will get back to you as soon as possible. About Star Sonata. |

Dock with another ship seems to be unfair/unequal. It implies someone is submitting himself to another. Also can be implied that the player ship docked at will have full access to other player.
What about: Trade Link between two ships(a window would open when this is applied). The two ships must be within a certain distance and able to see each other. The window uses a confirmation feature to show what is being traded and a separate end confirmation where you can't back out the item(but can back out of the trade) to sho _________________ Salt Assault drew this conclusion from the latest devblog.
