This is more of two suggestions than one, because one is dependant on the other 1: Make it so when adding a trade good, instead of going through that long, long list, you can drag an item from your inventory in a designated area something or other. Similar to item transfer from different ship inventories or base inventory, but for trading instead (so you drag "item" to a little box in the control tab of station and the price set box comes up)(buying items would still require list searching sadly) 2: Make it to where you can vendor UV items (the * items) in a base, and the player buying knows what variant it is. this would be really useful for people wanting a UV or people who have a ton of UV items and want to sell them for an above average price, but the buyer wouldn't know... (the term "Unique Variant/UV was coined by Spiral Knights, I did not come up with it, I just use it in SS2 for convienience.) |

i do love the first idea. for the 2nd idea while i agree we need a way to support modded items in the shops eventually. It would require some heavy rework of the item system to be done correctly, and its not something that will happen anytime soon (unfortunately). |

One relatively simple improvement that would make things easier is adding a search bar in the "Add trade good" menu, which would streamline both buying and selling. Not saying drag and drop wouldn't be epic, but it would be more work and wouldn't benefit buying as much. |
