How the fuck do you need even 25? You're a Speed Demon. Use higher tech slaves if you don't like the fact Helgas go too slow.

I have ~8 Thatches, 1 Sphere, 1 Rhino, 1 Pax, 1 Ward, 1 Vulture, 1 Celestica, and 5 Pax Xmas Slaves on my engineer.

I have 4 Thatches on each of my other 3 main chars, their combat ships, and two pairs of FC EFBC slaves. Then there's some Hotrod+'s, EFF's and Enforcers that are used for slaves.

Totals up to be around 15 ships per non engineer alt.


This is a developed account, too.

9 pax combat slaves + 3 EF ships, + 3 wing 4 + spearhead + thatch

17. Then that leaves only 8 slots for ships for trade slaving and base construction. Way too limited. And I'm in process of switching to DM so it's even more of a pain in the ass.

Thats the problem. Unless you're doing a very specific setup(9 BST's MFing LB's), the "more is less(to lose when one of them dies)" is in general a bad idea.

Starting out, it adds great amounts of firepower per slave. But then it starts to be less efficient. By level 300, if you're still wanting to be FC(or Monk for that matter), it is far more efficient to use less slaves, focusing on 2 or 3 large slaves instead of 8 to 9 small slaves.

Yes, if a slave dies thats a chunk of DPS gone with it. But it's far less to manage in battle, as well as in the AI base. You don't have to evenly distribute to 10 total ships; you have 4 tops. In battle, less slaves means more attention to individual micro-battles, instead of "hope everything lives" situations.

There should be an increase in P2P, decrease in F2P, or both. Just another incentive to go P2P?

The reason behind having 25 ships is that the server has to keep track of them all, regardless of them being docked or flying around. Player ships eat up resources at like 100-1000 to 1 compared to AI iirc.

Maybe there could be an increase then, but as I've said, and what the admins have done, is that both myself and them seem to hate swarms.

For them it was nerfing swarms. I can't nerf. Otherwise it'd have been a max of 4 slaves.
