It's swirling effect on Serengeti's warp, it looks like 16bit while I run it it at 32b. Ambient lightening tweak probably brightened up some low quality effect and caused those lines. If its possible, try making exception in ambient tweak so it wont brighten up effects ;)

uhhh... you do know those things arent on beta right ? unless your a code dev i dont know the account off. i dont believe there is any test client of that version available anywhere yet.

Mmm, while it seems to look good for the darker ships, you'll have to find a way to normalize it somehow, the brighter ships seem to be getting whitewashed!

Definitely an improvement though!

like what ship ? only one i can see in those screenshots (and in my tests), would be the frigate, but the frigate issue is that the texture is whitewashed XD. its another one that depend on some effects to reach the desired look. and some of those effects are not enabled at medium ><

The frigate and the prawn in the screenshot looked like they were showing signs of whitewash to me (even on very high)

It would be good if ships were lightened from top I think, could you try that doing that and see how does it look like?

Option to turn off shadows for ships could work as well.

no, if only for the fact that i have lots of work left to do :P.

there is also the issue that a single light from the top wouldnt light from the top, but light from an angle. and if it was made to follow you, it would look incredibly weird when you look at other ships XD.

2. EF Ships looked bad with the original lighting and now look worse. COLOR THEM FUCKING GREEN, GOD DAMN IT T_T. They also appear to be paper-ish. The texture I mean.

they are here ? dont you see the cyan colored glow on the pax ? they are only missing at low graphic due to missing shaders but we are looking into alternative ways of rendering it for that setting.

Note the MUTIPLE COLORS. Also the glows are supposed to fade in and out. Don't ruin a staple of SS due to laziness please, Its too horrible T_T

dont look at me, im not the one who make the models/textures :P. if a content dev so desire, they can make the pax look however they want (the multiple colors exists tho, they just might not all be linked yet).
