Available in Beta Antares for cheapie.


Old reasoning for less then tech 10 capships was so F2P's couldn't get them. Bring them in :)

It'd allow low leveled gunners and FC's to start getting ships without having to worry about spending all that sp to get to p10 by lvl 100?

It would make leveling a little less of a jump, ship-wise, for f2p's,
It would make gunner a more viable playclass at lower levels,
It would mean that you'd see a massive influx of Gunner/FCs [probably in a 4:1 ratio at least], so you may need to consider launching some other Seer or Shm low level gear at the same time, so everyone doesn't get fucked into one class.

Or we could just keep it how it is and worry about balancing gunner for t10+.

Fair point, thats in progress as is however.
Gunner needs specialized ships to reduce damage and increase multifiring, since it's key skill is MFing, and at low levels its basically the same as being unclassed.
Please don't rebut with a zerker argument, since its really not the same. They can get MFing augs, and even MF 2 fairly fast.

Gunner is really powerful if done right in an Earthforce Frigate, I don't wanna think of the power of a low tech, agile capital ship that spews out missiles at level 40-80.

That was when JeffL stated he didn't want f2p(level 20's) in capships. Isn't Prommy a f2p in a dreadnought?

So whats the problem with a T5/T8 one?

Maybe, but there are in fact f2p in EF Capships. You're at least one.
