Post Permanent drones maintenance
The idea is to make them lose power over time. (ex:5% per day, no effects until at 50%).
The other part of the idea is that there should be a simple way to repair them, maybe dropping scraps.

Also, maybe it could be possible to load scraps in them for later?

I have no idea why it should be implemented, i'd just like to at least do anything to maintain drones.

I'm with Radia, but I'll go into a little more detail. :P

Basically no, because the whole point of perminent drones is you don't have to do anything to keep them going. They're supposed to be solid support for your galaxy. Imagine for a second, being a casual player, who can't get on every day. But still wants to make bases. It's not fair to them that thye have to go on every day to make sure their galaxy is still supported. Or if someone goes on holidays, or their computer breaks. They shouldn't have to worry about the drones dieing (anymore than normal at least). Imagine coming home from a week long holiday to find your entire gal has been capped because your drones let down their defence... And lastly scrap parts are already a bitch and a half to get, really don't need a crap load of them going into drones as well...

tl;dr

Agreed with you, just wanted to know why it would be a bad idea.

There does not need to be that much micromanagement going into building a base system. Bases are self-sufficient if they are set up right.

Having to log in to make sure 50+ drones are being taken care of? Ok, fine, if kind of pointless. It's just a waste of slave slots.
Having to do it manually for each drone? NO.

Radia said it all.

I'm not playing this game to go around pissing on drones to give them life as if they were flowers.
