Quote the person you are answering.
C2 Questions only. I'll try to keep the initial post updated for the responses from the admins/questions they answered. My question, though: If the moving Animation of the ships happens to lag out, or reduce the FPS of the person logged into the client, would it be possible to disable the animation from an Options screen? _________________ Salt Assault drew this conclusion from the latest devblog. You can delete animations by changing the XML in the ships.xml file in your client, it should be possible to do it from options, but meh. _________________ Javatech wrote: Battlecruiser23 wrote: I am a Troll, ignore everything I say. Animated models don't take any more CPU or GPU resources than static models.
So far, it looks like the client is running quite well on low end computers and laptops, and possibly will have even lower minimum system requirements than C1 if you use the lowest settings. If you want even better performance, someone could create a custom "skin" that replaces all models and textures with lower poly models and smaller textures. _________________ For support, please create a support ticket here and I will get back to you as soon as possible. for me thats not what slows me down. I have a felling SS isnt using any of my integrated graphics. so i only got like 68mb dedicated. on low i run at 32 fps. on medium i run at 12 :/. but on very high i run at 12 fps. so i got know clue whats added in at medium. but it be cool if you could change stuff your self.
so maybe turn of engine effects but keep high textures and lighting. _________________ |

Xonok wrote: Is there a new ETA on C2 alpha or is it still too soon to tell? In the next two weeks, we're going to try to fix most of the bugs that the current testers have found. After that, I'll decide if we want to start to open up the testing to more people are not, depending on where we are with the current list of bugs. If there are plenty of bugs already reported, then it becomes counter-productive to have more testers. _________________ For support, please create a support ticket here and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
