Post Star Sonata 2: New Features
I figured it might be a good idea to get a description of some of the new features for C2 from the testers. What do people think about the new client that is cool?

Ex. When you have no target you can tractor near by debris without targeting, scooping loot is now easy.

One of the more fun features to me is the ability to fully control slaves. Have them scoop coins and debris. Also you can double click them and tell them where to fly or to even dock.

really? That sounds like tons of fun!

What I would like to see is that the orders menu is refined.
What I mean is that instead of having a list of adjacent galaxies to order the salve to warp there, you get a diagram of the uni map, and you can choose a path for the slave using the diagram.

To clarify, it would be sort of like autopilot for slaves.
You say go from current location to gal A, and then the autopilot picks the fastest route, but you could also make changes.

This is for testers, about things that are already in, not suggestions for things to be put in.

All joking aside, I for one LOVE the fact that I can put a name to a face for missions. I can see what these alien races look like and I can see who I'm talking to. Very awesome. Engrosses you in the atmosphere of the game more. <3

Also, right clicking on a warp and jumping through it, same with docking. Less button mashing to do simpler tasks. Very cool.

A key won't do you anything without a client. XD

I like the top bar, you can tell what you got equipped, like sometimes in C1 in PvP or doings I'm like "Why the fuck aint my tractors working" then I realised I hit the wrong key and I unequipped my HW instead of equipping my UL. On C2 I can just see that. :P

I can also see how many missiles I have out at once at the top of the screen.

it would be good if there was a change in the tractor mechanics so that the game counts how many times you press a key, so that lag doesnt occasionally cause your tractors to not work or stay on too long

the current system can drain 200k elec with one lagspike

While we're on tractors, while I love the very 1930s look of the ringaling-beam things, I feel that even as they expand to fit around larger ships, the rings should not become any thicker, just become larger in diameter. Right now the rings look a bit low on detail when they expand to fit something as large as an EFDN or the Emperor's ship in the Serengeti.

The rings should also move in the other direction when using a push tractor.
