they all get a fraction of your energy. no priorities or anything fancy like that.

if your out of energy and only have enough to power 30% of your total capacitance charge then all your item charge at 30% of their speed. (noone stop you from unequiping some tho).

And we're talking about adding something like shift+hotkey to equip or unequip the hotkeyed item, so it would be very easy to unequip your PWI until you need it again.

any way we can prioritize elec consumption on a ship? could have it where the ship's energy charges all things equal but when running low concentrates total elec on the first hotkey then works backwards? I can see many situations where I'd prefer to quickly and decisively shut down excess electricity on my ship to pop off that last shot. or shut down all weapon systems to concentrate elec on the PWI to gtfo when things get rough.

SO LONG AS IT DOES NOT EFFECT GAME BALANCE...

It seems fine. If someone cant power something they once could, then something is wrong and it should be fixed, but not being able to fire a weapon was always kinda silly anyway.

Well according to Jeff, if you could power a weapon before, then you still can. If you couldn't power it before (might even be a little bit of elec loss thats not noticble with the old system), you still wouldn't be able to power it, but when you run low, you just fire slower.

dunno where you problem is, from the Weapon point of view nothing changes, except that you dont need certain energy bank to fire a weapon (Lion V2 with 11k for example).. and this whole change was only done to smoothen the use of weapons with the other charging items .. example: after using a PWI if you have crappy elec the PWI basically prevents you from shooting till its loaded up, now the energy is shared equally, a overdue implementation and necessaty after the first charging item was put in game.

Looks like there's a bug in certain situations while multifiring the new code is giving you too much RoF. That could be why you can't power your weapons.
