Am I the only one that keeps getting killed because I see a blue sun, think "oh, a dark sun, safe to fly over", take a ton of damage and get 1shotted? I guess it's not really a problem for new players, but for C1 people, blue sun = dark sun, red/orange/yellow/purple sun = hot sun.

Not only do the blue suns do damage, they do wtf damage, like 95% of your shields gone in one pass over the sun in a fast ship.

I wanted the "blue" suns because I got out my old Astronomy text book and went through the whole main sequence of stars, and blue is a big part of it.
Maybe what we should do is make the dark suns more purplish or something? You can edit them in /Content/Default/game_data/suns.xml, and find something that you think looks better for a "dark sun" and suggest it. The damage done by suns is exactly the same code as in SS1, although I did make the suns a bit larger in SS2, so it will take a little longer to pass over them. _________________ For support, please create a support ticket here and I will get back to you as soon as possible. The current C2 dark suns look great, they're not a problem. My issue is that the blue "hot" suns in C2 look like the dark suns in C1, which C1 players are used to flying over without taking damage. I suppose we'll all adjust to it eventually, just a bit annoying atm (I've been 1shotted by a random flyswatter several times for flying over a blue sun now, lol).

I don't think there's any problem with this. Dark suns and A/B-classes look very different in client 2. The only people being confused are those that have played client 1 for years, but even then a few hours of play will get you accustomed to the change.
