Did Rags really need more dps? You know rags, right? Those teamed AI that travel in swarms of 12 or more ships and are automatically aggro? The ones everyone has said are ridiculously overpowered for an aggro / swarming AI for ages? Yeah, they didn't really need that wall of lead thingy.

Yeah we are aware of their current power level, many AIs are going to be rebalanced.

Alternatively, balance their difficulty/shields to make swarming the intent. Could be pretty fun to fight them if they had really big burst DPS, but really terrible shields. The problem is that we have too many AI with both tank AND spank.

AIs with terrible shields doesnt work well in SS.

Because of how the game is coded.
Low HP NPC Frigates are ok in EVE, because Frigates are small and fast enough to evade the bigger guns on Battleships. In SS, that does not happen. Regardless of speed and agility, if I'm in range, my Jiji Quu will hit the target. _________________ Salt Assault drew this conclusion from the latest devblog. It is most commonly because damage doesn't fall off much with range, making weak-shielded AI easy leveling targets. More generally, it's because weaker shields mean faster leveling assuming you set up your ship to deal with that specific target type (which of course you will since it'd be the most efficient method of getting things done). _________________ Fucking loot... |
