Post pre chargeing drone limit
with a test of playing with my rhino on the c2 server test ive noticed that i had a pre-charging limit of 12 drone with full class skill's in a rhino, not sure about other droner's but that limit is not high enough,

can that limit be raised or better yet removed?

as a droner main i normally have at least double that number of drones with me just cruising around lol

This has been discussed in other threads already.

Basically we feel that the advantage of being able to pre-charge drones more than offsets a limit of 12, and we have to have a limit, otherwise the pre-charging would be too powerful.

12 is fine when you get used to it. I have 13, and it is more than enough for me.

Why not just have all drones be deployable from a pre-charged pool of energy? All drones have to charge once you scoop them, but they do so from within this energy pool. That way we maintain the current mechanics without breaking anything.

Heck, why not just have the drone energy be held in the same place as our normal energy? Rather than drain energy from the bank that they hold seperately, they just charge up INSIDE the elec bank!

It's difficult to explain...hmm, let me try this way;

As you can see, drones would have energy from the main bank allocated to their use, and they would still need to charge, but it would also prevent broken bank issues, and allow an unlimited number of drones to be equipped!

Would that work? ^.^

I dont think i got it right. Allocating portions of regen to the drones?

Allocating portions of your BANK to drones, instead of them having their own separate bank.

The current problem with "Charging" is I can use any charging item as an Ono Capacitor on my SD. I can charge up 30k into an item and run with a 1k bank energy and have 31k to fire with (when you fire or use up electric it drains equipped charged items on your ship) . Sure it charges up a hell of a lot slower than a normal Ono Cap, but it still works.

Either you are very wrong or the coding for charging is very stupid.

Bank is now pretty much inferior to regen.
