Hey guys, I'm looking for feed back as to how you guys like the layout of the forums. There is one GLARING issue and that's the category separators taking up way too much space (repeating that blue banner with Forum, Post Count, etc). Aside from this issue I'm curious as to what you guys think of it. Please let me know!

I feel Suggestions should be at the top of it's subsection, and Bugs should be at the bottom of its subsection. ...Why am I being such a neat freak?

clean up the community photo's section and re-open it. that was truly the highlight of every visit of mine to these forums.

A lot of work has to be put into that and right now Voomy and I are really the only forum moderators. I would think that you guys would want a dedicated Community Manager who is actively working on a ton of relevant tasks to keep working on said tasks, rather than have that person clean up an old forum post. I might unlock it if the demand is great, but cleaning up that topic could take a while, and I have a to do list a mile long that's just Star Sonata items (and I do NOT want to get burnt out on this job, as I take it very seriously). If I unlock it, it will become much more moderated than it was in the past. Flaming & derailment was rampant in that thread and no one deserves to be flamed and humiliated in a public forum based on their photos.

New Layout gets a 10/10 from me, although it still needs headings in Board Index and I think the order of the headings should be: News, Misc, Team Politics then Bugs n stuff.

remove all of the blue separators, they don't do anything and force topics off the bottom of the screen.

We're looking into the cause of this now, it's supposed to be a smaller separator, not repeat Forums, Post count, etc, and identify which category it falls into. Apparently though I wasn't supposed to use categories which is why it looks like this. I'm hoping we'll get it fixed in a few days.

I want to see all the different subforums on one screen and not have to scroll down.

I don't like the empty space on each side of the page.

Look at EvE Online's forums & WoW's forums. They at least put a pretty image, but SS only has tiled blue specks.

I also like how WoW strays away from the typical forum layout, it looks more modern and professional. To juggle around an idea, say you gave each forum an icon, then arranged them in a circle with a pretty image in the background, instead of having a list.

I agree with tech. Something like this?

You could always have it so that the entire SS website has an "Inside a Spacebase" theme or something like that.

My problem is that I don't have full control over the appearance of the forum. I'll see what I can do about getting that changed though. But keep in mind that full scale appearance changes will not happen overnight.
