I know we asked for them but... who's the dev who was tripping BALLS when they did them? Just get a zerk to spam 3-shots and the pinksplosion consumes you.

I find them to be amazing, but I can surely see the issue when you face a large amount of players using them. I could stare at 3-shots and Lion Incinerators all day long tho, and I just love how all the new particle effects are made. A Hotrod+ using an Urqa' Ka is pretty amazing looking now.
How about maybe making it possible to choose between different weapon particle graphics under the options? If it was possible to scale them down or tone them down there for some runs it would be awesome. |

Since the jan 27 patch. Any other folders in the Content directory will be used to override stuff from default (they go in alphabetical order iirc). So basicly, all you have to do is put the modified file in the same location but a different folder than Default, and it will override it and wont disapear after patch (although keep in mind that if the patch made changes to that file, you wont have them until the mod/skin is updated).

The particles have been vastly improved, but I still consider them to be slightly temporary. We're still missing several parameters that we had in C1, so I temporarily made them 50% bigger to make them look a little bit better they way they currently are. Once we get a few more parameters in there, I'll make them slightly smaller again (but also might increase quantity unless Jey stops me!)
