DF doesn't increase by 10 for each step you go further into the DG.
I didn't change that part of the code when I was working on DGs last uni, so it's probably been this way ever since DGs were created. The idea that DF increased by 10 per stage was probably just assumed because that's how most galaxies work in normal space (and someone noticed a difference in drops from 3 stage and 9 stage DGs in the same base gal/DF). _________________ "What you mean you killed him cha cha cha?!" It astounded me how many people assumed it was that way.

Well blue, all things considered I don't suppose there is a way of telling the boss df or is it too complicated..

Oh yeah, I felt a bit bad about that, on the plus side though, I've been keeping tabs on the page and most of it is pretty accurate to where they should drop (if you follow your counting system setup on the wiki). Ultimately though, there's quite a bit of randomization in there, dg drops have a relative probability and are weighted based on their offset from the danger factor of the galaxy (not actually the df though, it's the bosses 'difficulty' rating, which in most cases is the df anyway). Given your last comment about boss DFs, just to mess with you all; Last universe, the highest Df galaxy within the universe was a DG boss galaxy, at just over 4100. That's not a typo, over four thousand and one hundred. _________________ "What you mean you killed him cha cha cha?!" Support |

I looked a bit more, things get a bit inaccurate at the low end, but that's what you get when you have systematic errors. I cleaned up the wiki a bit and removed some of the old pages for drops/DG AI. Although thinking about it, as I commented on the DG AI page, some DG drops appear in multiple places (like Dementium) -- I think it'd be better to have a list of items by min and max DF. I noticed a few items where listed to drop from places which were valid, but right on one of extreme of their drop range (specifically at the low end). _________________ "What you mean you killed him cha cha cha?!" I'm willing to wipe the page and start over if there's a more accurate way of telling, so whats the variables of telling the drop?

Honestly, the best way you can tell is simply through testing. Or joining the dev team, but that'd only give you access to the drop table files, dungeon spawns file and the documentation I wrote up. Not to blow my own trumpet at all, but I think it'd be fair to say I have the best knowledge on dungeon generation, AI, possible drops and how they're picked; so maybe if you ask real nicely.... _________________ "What you mean you killed him cha cha cha?!" *Gets on knees
Sir blue of content team, would u kindly spoil the entire mystery of the dg drops so that people know exacly where to go and will cause congestion of dgs and make the game less fun . Now that I think about it, the drops should be kept secret. If people knew where they were then it will just feel like a job going to those dgs all the time instead of going to different ones and making it more of a variety. So I propose that we drop this subject completely, I'm not going to bother filling out the page anymore and continue with more important pages on the wiki. _________________ |

People think the danger factor increases as you go deeper into a DG because if your DG is big enough, you will notice a change in AIs as you go deeper. For example if you find a DG that starts off with Bigger Greens, you go about 2 levels in you can sometimes find Level 1.5k Banas, and the level before the boss contains 2 Multifiring Icepicks.
That is why people tend to think the Danger Factor increases, it has nothing to do with the Loot. That's why I have believed it anyway. Another example would be starting off with MF Reavers, then Platties, and then you suddenly start finding Stellas. _________________ |
