Post Regarding the legend of the trillion credit Extensor Y sale
I have been told this one by a few people, so apparently it has got around.

[insert names here] earned a trillion credits building Station Extension Y and selling them to the AI.

So let us test this theory. A metal mine can dig 1 unit per 6 seconds. That comes to

10*60*24 = 14400 metal per extractor per day

Now "Loads" can be up to 128 mines, but let us say 100 just to be reasonable.

that is 200 extractors (counting advanced) or 2,880,000 metal (576 extnY) each day.

Now account base slots are limited, so assuming only station management was used (40 slots), there would be 40 + 20 + 12 + 10 + 8 = 90 slots or 22 adonis (which are needed for advanced extractors).

So 22 adonis stations producing 576 ExtnY for 90 days equals

1,140,480 Extension Y which at AI stations would net 114,048,000,000 Credits

Alot of money, but not a trillion. And that is assuming you want to go running between 22 stations on 5 accounts all day every day simply to build and sell extensions.

You're forgetting about Kikale Mzungu Extractors, Undead Metal Miners and most importantly, multiple accounts. I can safely say I'll pass the 1 tril from Ys this uni with 5 T16 kits with all 4 types of extractors and about 25 T9 kits with regular and advanced extractors, which results in about 680 million metals every 24 hours. Times 17 (the amount of credits each metal is worth) and then times 75 (approximate uni length) that's about 850b at the moment :)

Last universe we produced and shipped about 1b metals pr. day to our production base. One metal is worth 17 credits each in this industry. This means you're looking at 17b daily income, which is 2,04 trillion credits in 120 days. So this isn't a legend, it is a fairly common industry in most high end teams.

I'm sitting at around 800m mets a day, which is around 13.6b per day at 17 creds per metal. 1.224 tril per 90 days.

Totally legit claim :P.

Last uni I made about 1t from Ys and this uni number will be about 1.5t.

What is this, are you all tempting me to build bases?

One of the several things you're forgetting is the Extraction Expert skill, which is roughly 6.6x the extraction rate according to some maths I've got laying about in a spreadsheet.

According to said spreadsheet, your 22 bases with 200 extractors each would net ~420 million metals per day with EE30. At 17 credits a pop, thats ~7b. Over the course of 90 days then, ~600b. With one account, and it seems like most end-gamers have at least two.

If you invest in it, you can obtain a ship hull space which can carry 55,000 Extension Y's at once.

Something needs to defend those kits too.

It's actually not as OP as it sounds. Ext Y and/or colony infrastructure requires insane infrastructure. My infrastructure has cost at least 2-3t including but not limited to sing spheres, rc19 skills, SM20 skills, slaves and slave augs. Defending gals is also expensive. On top of everything, running ext Y infrastructure requires effort in form of starting Ys and selling them to AI bases.

Alot of money, but not a trillion. And that is assuming you want to go running between 22 stations on 5 accounts all day every day simply to build and sell extensions.

A few problems here.
1. Iirc, adv extractors give double extraction rates, so 1 extractor slot gives 43200 metal a day.
2. As said above, ExE is a nice thing.
3. Ext Ys takes money to make (included MB bonus its 28.25k each).
4. MB bonus is nice, it lets you take less metals (2880k metals = 576 ext + 864k metals), 30% discount.
5. In the end, your total MB discount is ~43.5%.

Lets do a bit maths!
1 extractor slot = 43200 every day
ExE multiplier of 6.6x
100 extractors a base
22 bases

43200 * 6.6 * 100 * 22 = 627.264M metals a day

More maths!

Ext Ys take 5k metals each.
MB discount is 43.5%

627.25M / (5k*(56.5/100))=222K a day
222k*71.75k=16B profit a day
16B*90=1440B

With the stats you have provided, and maxed profits (ExE 30 and MB of 1k+) you can easily get above 1t PROFIT a uni.

A real endgame player can triple that if he wants to.

It has always been a balance between credits coming in and the insane BP costs these days. If you nerf income sources good luck having new players make anything t21+, who is going to buy Dem for 1b?
