However, it would mean Unattached Kits are not extremely vulnerable to being pulled out and killed by the attackers. Yes, we're still planning on making it so that bases and perma drones on the team that owns the gal can no longer be tractored. It won't be in the current upcomming patch (which is currently delayed while Jey fixes some memory corruption issues that have popped up) but it will definitely be in before the next reset.

The current state of the game is that where you place your unattached kits doesn't matter, because they will eventually be dragged out and killed one by one. Makes zero point to have unattached bases in a galaxy for defense, since attackers can isolate them easily if you lack n+1 tractor ships. For years the standard defense kit has been an Attached Kit for this very simple and asinine reason. In plain language, it's unfair. What would make it fair: A. Unattached bases of the defending team (who owns the galaxy) cannot be tractored by enemy teams. (attackers) or B. I'd still avoid unattached kits for gal defense, entirely because they dont get a planet to block a good amount of pulsegun shots incase of a BvB. But yes:

If i'm defending, I'll have the biggest advantage cause I'll just pull their hps kits in, get my team to pull our unatt pulse kits behind a gate, and then pop their kits easily and win without an issue. Doesn't this seem kinda, extremely unfair? Attackers can't do anything but watch as their bases die one by one.

Star sonata lacks player base to do this. Have more players to join the game so teams are highly populated and sure this will work. unfortunately MC is the only way and not everyone can support 8-10 different accounts. |

Funny how RF is the only team so far expressing displeasure.
Attackers have the advantage because they get to choose how and when they attack in this game, so the only thing a defense can do is fortify and hold out. I happen to agree with you that tractoring attackers kits in is unfair as well, so I would suggest the admins remove tractoring on unattached kits that are not yours. _________________ http://www.starsonata.com/suggestions |
