Because reasons. @Dullarah Kuwait is part of OPEC. That's why Russia/USA/China have not conquered it. If they did, oil prices from all other OPEC members spike through the roof, killing the economy and military of Kuwait's conqueror. The Originals are not an endgame team. Zephyr is not an endgame team. Hiigaphiix is not an endgame team. Ascension Logistics is not an endgame team. All four are doing just fine. I'm not advocating to deploy 20 ada kits per galaxy, I'm advocating that anyone who doesn't want their shit rocked by Syria ... let alone Russia, needs to do something other than sit there expecting no one to poke them. If I have what you want and you can't get it anywhere else (or I'm just an easy target to grab), I have to be deluding myself to think you aren't coming to get it by knocking down the walls. The easiest way to avoid this fate is to build in a shit location. Why should I knock down a noob team in a shit galaxy that didn't provoke me when I can go find an unclaimed galaxy that is 10x better? Griefing is against the rules. The next step is to make yourself a pain in the ass to dislodge. Whether you throw down 50 T14 kits into one galaxy or build a strong core STM defense is up to your team's policies. The point is to make yourself not worth attacking. ==== What happened to Infernal Empire and Electric Sheep? Let's see. Both teams deployed half a character (not account) worth of bases to defend a major galaxy. Both teams massssssively overextended. Both teams sat in relatively valuable turf. Infernal Empire supposedly challenged Red Faction with that Ebony thing. Both teams rose up on the forums and bitched. When the admins didn't do a fucking thing to perma ban their attackers, both teams unsubbed all their accounts and ceased to exist. What happened to Reddit Space Invaders? Let's see. Discounting Charlie being a procrastinating prude and not being able to build more than a couple of Adonis bases after 7 days of building, RSI refused to join a bigger group. Even Hiigaphiix would have been a better choice than STICKING IT ALONE. I also wouldn't be surprised if Charlie provoked 13. That's the kind of person he is; bitching about how unfair it is being the underdog, whining about how one character can't solo T22 bosses, and being insulting to random strangers just because he's on the internet. |
