Exciting times for new players. A patch has introduced must needed ships withheld from certain classes.

Cherub is a great t19 seer ship. Its hull space is decent, its inbuilts suit a seer. Main weakness is awkward resists, heat and surgical resistance is more important than energy and physical. Visibility is a bit higher than desired, but should not be an issue for a proper setup.

Marshal is probably the best t19 berserker ship in the game, better than GVA by far. Better resists, better inbuilts, an excellent inbuilt device. F2p zerks finally have a ship to stay with.

Earthforce Overload Prototype is statistically inferior to EFBS, but it has a devastating inbuilt weapon. That coupled with its faster speed makes me think its suited for a more offensive gunner. Fleet commanders are better off staying with the EFBS.

Hotrod Ultimate eh.....in C1 hotrod was associated with many f2ps, but here's what I have to say about this ship. Its hull space is lackluster and its visibility nullifies the chances of stealth. I can see its use as a travel ship because its aug slots can potentially make it faster than the Ancient Scoutship. Its kind of sad that balance sheets dictate its augmenter slots have to be limited to 4, because aug slots are what sets the Hotrod family apart from other fighters.

There might be additional ships not in the Star Sonata ships page that I missed out on. Any thoughts on the new ships introduced to the game?

Can't get Hotrod Ultimate as f2p. Ship is bought from a perilous space galaxy.

Don't bought ships come in item form? You can get a p2p to buy one and transfer it to you, although my memory of the game is hazy at best.

Regardless, Hotrod Ultimate is not worth getting.

Ships bought from userbases become item form. Ships from AI bases are not. It's not worth for a p2p to spend an extra 10$ to item form a T19 ship for a f2p.

F2p can pay for someone to item form Hotrod Ultimate for them :D

That ship looks really cool. It has great stats, great look and as an oldtime lv20 f2p, I have a sweet spot for hotrod. It's quite unfortunate how it's not available for f2p.

Please add t22 hotrod.

Too bad Hotrod Ultimate is outclassed by Vazuk as a speed demon ship.

I would not say so. HRU has better inbuilt elec, more weapon slots, more speed and better inbuilt stats. Low hull is too bad but I would still most likely prefer HRU.

If the p2p is nice enough he can transfer an item form HRU to a f2p for free.

But its not worth the hassle. Vazuk has some advantages over HRU, and some disadvantages. Its completely up to the player which one to choose from as neither is better than the other.

There is no new t19 freighter, probably because Testudo is already awesome enough as it is.

The Hotrod Ultimate is more of a luxurious ship. It should not be purchasable easily for F2P.

Ultimate Hotrod sadly is meant for P2P members only as one of the many encouragements to subscribe! :twisted:
