Stock music can still mean impending lawsuit if we used this depending on the license attached to the piece of content. Was pretty good, but obviously the task bar is bad. Other things that I noticed/irked me: Displaying the Halloween pumpkin sun probably isn't a good idea. You spent a lot of time flying in the Phoenix around galaxies. Flying around is cool, but changing the ship would've been good too. The font wasn't the font we tend to use for stuff like this (Sui Generis, if you didn't know). The website URL isn't included. The logo at the end looks squashed, and doesn't particularly match what's on the website currently (the one in the title bar on the side doesn't have noticeable changes in gradient on the astroid). I have a 600x600px version, although it's a little fuzzy around the edges: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/141 ... S-Logo.png I liked how you fitted the battle stuff to the change in the music, but the licensing on the music really needs to be addressed |

It's not stock, or something free like Kevin MacLeod's. EDIT: None of this is even remotely mentioning the firestorm SS will come under if a trailer that almost carbon copies the Imagine one comes out for it. All that is true if it was the actual Official SS Trailer but it isn't. So you telling me that everyone that records game play and adds a song to it are going to get sued? No that's not how it works. I'm a music producer myself and as long as i'm not making money from any footage and give full rights to the artist of the track there will be no lawsuit. Obviously Music for the official SS trailer will be from SS itself so it has its own copyright and no lawsuit will be issued. Oh and thanks for the Tips people i will take them all into account

I think they are referring to if this were an official trailer. Anyway, I really like it, but as Bobbo said. I'm also not a fan of the engine displacement adding random effects to your ship - not your fault but would've been nicer without that. Perhaps some progression in the systems players see? i.e. start with Arctia, move on to Mira, then some DG in end of W2 / start of W3, etc. Perhaps at least two scenes involving bases doing cool stuff? Since that's a pretty major aspect of the game in my opinion. |
