It's a reference to the Space Opera genre kicked off by the like of Star Control (1990).

here's my take on it

from https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/sonata
Quote:
Definition of sonata
: an instrumental musical composition typically of three or four movements in contrasting forms and keys

a universe lasts for about 3~4 months

from https://study.com/academy/lesson/sonata ... -quiz.html
Quote:
Sonata form ... is an organizational structure based on contrasting musical ideas. It consists of three main sections - exposition, development, and recapitulation

Quote:
In the exposition, the main melodic ideas, or themes, are introduced.

a fresh universe

Quote:
In the development section, these themes are explored and dramatized.

people exploring the new universe. lots of stuff happening mid-uni, sometimes with a little drama mixed in.

Quote:
The recapitulation brings back and resolves the two original themes by placing them both in the tonic key, which is the main tonal center of the piece and almost always the key in which the piece begins and ends.

universe reset

i looked up 'sonata' and connected a bunch of dots together. dunno if this was intentional or not lol
