which folders are for weapon graphics

Content\Default\Textures\Misc for the textures.
Content\Default\Models\Misc for the model (the plasma fire is the only model iirc) particles are hardcoded but use some of the particles images provided in the particles folder (not sure exactly which ones from memory tho. _________________ One of the first and proud flight controller. i tried doing C1 laser graphics but i failed hardcore, seems modding this is quite annoying

Lasers are pretty... Uhhh. I don't know the specifics...
I know the visage code points directly to some files, but for the most part I don't think much can be done for player-specific modding. I did ask about having lasers like the old CAL series, but we don't have the resources for it. As Jey said, those are the locations for what he said, although the caches will take over if your client is set to use them, I believe. Particles you can find in Default/Textures/Particles, the particle used most is GlowParticle.png, obviously, those named <damageType>Plasma*.png are used for weapons that do that damage type and in some other places. Due to the nature of these things, most of it isn't modable clientside, either because it's hard coded in the client (or server, or both, depending on what it is), or is server-side content (composite/named visages, for example). Unless you want to mod a resource image/model (like a particle image), there isn't much you can do for modifying how weapons look...
