The game works fine for me, it is possible there is some program/program(s) that run in the background that are not compatible with Star Sonata, maybe even spy ware, ad ware, or a virus even. You are not the only person to complain about these sorts of problems, so it could also be a graphics card or driver problem.
I would suggest sending your system specs and driver information to the SS crew in the hopes that they can piece together the puzzle of what is causing these sorts of problems on only some people's PCs.

Those aren't bugs I'm familiar with either. There must be something local to your machine causing those very odd errors.

when i first started playing i had a few of those errors you are expieriencing, but i just uninstalled ss completely from my computer and re-installed it and it works great

Yeah, I have this problem to. But only when I'm at my dads home and playing at his computer but when I get home it works totally fine.

the equipment not showing up has to do with haveing 2 ships on a station and then selling one with out looking at the 2nd ship. the list is cleared tiillo you relogin
