That was the product of my boredom/rambling. Anyway TW the failure was, in my opinion, the product of the confidence in their inevitable victory I referred to earlier. If you consider yourself superior to your enemy you get sloppy. However, after you lose something as a result of it you get smarter(and lose a bit of morale
). Which makes Pheonix Talons situation even more interesting because with every victory they make their enemy more intelligent and thus more effective. Kushan is in relatively the same position though, because they are the agressors every second they allow PT(finally decided on what to call Pheonix Talons!) to survive they will become more and more effective at countering Kushan with the war developing into an interminable stalemate. I.E. LC vs TW/DM, in all honesty DM, at the very beginning of the first war DM(& JAWSS) had with LC, had the necessary players and strength to sweep through LC's gals in one fell swoop. In reality though DM started with a series of disorganized attacks utilizing quantity of players and almost entirely ignoring any strategic organization that could have brought them an easy victory. LC lost 2 bases to this but eventually figured out what they needed to do to stop DM's progress. As time progressed the attacks increased in sophistication, moving away from disorganized assaults and making very good use of attacking 2 galaxies at once to split the defensive force. All of these attempts fell short though in that they had in earlier assaults prepared their enemy for what was to come. After that it took 2 years and almost no real assaults until a stunningly brilliant assault was organized by Tallon that swept through 20+ allied galaxies in a matter of hours uncontested. Why was this so effective when other similar assaults had failed? Because Tallon had the advantage of an opponent who had grown over confident and unprepared, and he didn't hit with the half assed force you would expect to take on an unprepared enemy with. He hit with everyting he had, using all he could get from within his own team and DM. So just like with that war, Kushan and PT will have to realize that the victor of this will not be the one who attacks most it will be those that make smarter attacks and better organized attacks based upon their available resources.
