Steryl Mining Union
We can transform a single rock into a new ship! Steryl Mining Union was a team founded for just mining rocks for massive profit. We are currently looking for people with many slaves, so we can actually start mining. We require a simple 20% payment to the team, which lessens overtime, and if you become a high ranked member, we may allow you to send requests to withdraw large amounts of money from the clan. We don't have any policies on PvP, other than we don't want to have a ----ing war with another team. How do I join? Simply PM Ka' lashnikov ingame, and be able to set up slaves to mine for the team. How do you know we are donating? We cannot be sure if you ARE donating, at least most of the time, but we'd like you to donate something. _________________ Amiret wrote: But your still an idiot. Hmmm, exactly what are the benifits of joining your team as opposed to any other team that doesn't require you to pay 20% tithe?

Kanga no, kangaroo_blob, i doubt it really is a 20% tithe. i think it's like 20% of mined commods worth. the gross amount. you know, like 20% of all ring mining bases in order to finance other mining base sites. most likely they'll tow a thatch to blue outpost and get a guy to afk mine there _________________ Salt Assault drew this conclusion from the latest devblog. I don't see why a 20% tithe on profit of mining operations is bad, if it is used to make the team better.

Greo0 wrote: Im quite sure your not allowed to get a 20% tithe anyway. no, they cant do that directly. let's say: diamonds = 10m each the member who owns all the diamond mines extract 100 today. all are sold and a proof of purchase is made(screen shot). 1b is the gross income, but 200m of that is put into team funds to fund a major vein of copper(7 planets in various owned galaxies of them) thats indirectly, and very possible that they might do. now indirectly is more of a pain, but it has some benefits. because a corp goes through that pain of getting proof for all transactions, people should start to see them as a trustworthy corp and not a cheating lying bunch of scumbags(Trevor knows which team i'm hinting at). now that they are trustworthy, they might loan money to people, like that one player for a set interest rate and very strict policies. this splits the corp into two areas, so if mining doesn't provide much profits, then banking may help. the way these guys are going is very, very unique in the universe of Star Sonata. 98% of all other teams follow a basic pattern. Aidelon and Splinter Faction and even the f2p team Terraforma follow these basic policies: We help our members. We strive for self-sufficiency. We do team runs. We trade to make money for ourselves. We are not a PvP team, but we wont hesitate to defend ourselves in times of need. We do not tolerate scammers. This team, however, is not like that for most of its goals. Now the defend ourselves part and profit part is there, but they are there to make their team projects grow and to make money and have fun while doing both. This team, since setting up all those mining centers is a logistics nightmare if on a large enough scale, might become great colonial administrators. Then they'd have a third area of profits. Think of a whole team of Solarwinds. He made a great amount from colonies. A whole team of CA's that have heavy duty mining operations and are major bankers would mean immense economic firepower. They might be potential heirs to old pantalones(back with Bizzy), or Caps. Maybe this is their true goal. _________________ Salt Assault drew this conclusion from the latest devblog. Oddly enough, I never saw Ka' lashnikov on his supposed team. I've only ever seen one person on Steryl Mining Union, and he hasn't shown up for quite a while now.
