This is becoming less hypothetical by the hour...... After a minor misunderstanding that's been completely resolved, I've instructed my team to remain completely uninvolved in the current conflict between pants/ TL/SP/ EF. As a neutral party, should I expect threats to my team and other neutral parties by one side or the other for refusing to get involved? I want to hear your feedback - is it possible to remain neutral? Should non-neutrality be forced? Should non-combatants be randomly killed/ gals destroyed for refusal to participate? TG |

People can threaten and attack whoever they please for whatever reason they want. |

Neutral is neutral. No-one will ever harm you for having a neutral standing. If pantapirates wants to kill neutral teams, then they give themselves just another reason to never fly safe in this game. |

Neutrality is taken in one of two ways. By legitimate teams neutrality in a conflict which does not involve the neutral party is respected, unless it is found that the neutral party is not infact neutral and is either allied with one of the warring parties or is aiding a warring party. In that case you are no longer neutral and are open to attack. By pirate teams neutrality means nothing. Pirate teams will attack whoever they wish to attack, yes some pirate teams sometimes choose not attack certain teams but this is generally only done for their own security/benefit. |

As long as you don't assist Pants in any form or fashion SP won't touch you. However there is no proper Etiquette of War, hence the name war. |

There are always rules of engagement or codes of conduct in wars (Bushido) however war itself consistently changes. Whether it is conventional war or information war (suppresion of information to the masses) it is always a fight in itself to adapt. I agree that neutral parties should always be respected but as has been noted time and time again true neutrality is hard to come by. My example of a consistent neutral team would be MAD+. |
