If he went on the run then he is open to drops from the run, regardless of whatever team he is on.
Seriously, a policy that retarded is tantamount to telling all unteamed people that come on runs with you that they are not able to roll on drops.
In the end he went on and contributed to the run, and thus earned his place among the rolls. So tell me where the theft occured please? Because you said this is on principle. Meaning you somehow found theft in there or your principles are completely nonsensical.
