Post Abbara's Guide to Colonial Management
Firstly you need to identify the most suitable planet you have to your first colony. The reason you want to start with the best is so that it gets to 6billion population as fast as possible. (Also take into account the speed at which the planet rotates to ensure that your levi slaves can catch it.)

Now build a nice Tech 14 Ambro base on it and aug it with shield bank, regen and range in mind (to make it well defended and capable of tanking as you don't want to lose it!).

Set all the available slaves you have, Levi, Massif, whatever! and set them to buy peasants from any available source you have, MAKE SURE your colony (C1) buys at a higher price than the AI base sells so your slaves do not run out of cash, and then make sure C1 has cash on it at all times... You will likely find that as this base is CA20 (colonial Administrator 20) it will be self sufficient as your colony will purchase all of these peasants at about 335 each).

You will see your colony starting to grow... slowly at first but then faster. When the population reaches around 30 - 100 mil population, you are likely running short of peasants to sell, don't worry too much as the colony is now self perpetuating and will grow at maximum rate. Make sure you are also feeding your colony with as many rats as it will buy from the start! but ONLY on C1 as it increases the reproduction rate! (you want all other colonies, C2, 3, 4 etc to grow as SLOWLY as possible so you starve them of rations.)

Now that C1 has reached a population of 6 bil you will see that the colony sale price for peasants is around 172 - 175 each. Set C1 to purchase peasants from your colony for 175 each and set a 1 - 5 mil max purchase (dependant on how many colonies you can simultaneously pump).

2 Levi Slaves is sufficient to haul 250k peasants per hour (which is about how many peasants a 125% suit colony will buy at max pumping speed) within 1 gal from your Full 6bil+ main colony to your smaller pumping colony. So now build C2 (and possibly 3 and 4 if you have 6 available levi slaves) on the next most suitable planet. (hopefully you have several 125% suitability colony planets).

Set C2 to trade the following goods...

Peasants:
 Buy from slaves at 180 each.

 Sell to planet colony for 334 (track this 2 below the colony buy price to make sure they keep buying!!! If your C2 sale price is higher than the colony buy price they will stop buying, but carry on growing and you will lose a lot of money!!!)

 Buy maximum 500,000 peasants

 Sell to a minimum of 0 peasants (so C2 will sell all available peasants.)

Initially the small colony will only buy a few thousand each hour for the first few hours. with CA20 on a 125% suitable planet the peasants will be worth 335 for about the first 5 days. Then its important that you regularly "track" the pumping colonies' peasant buying price as it will begin to fall the more you sell to it.

If you manage this correctly (keeping the price 5 below the buying price) you will stand to make around 300 - 500 mil per day on current admin settings.

So how do I make more cash from C1 now it is full?

Find a planet that has Baobabs (or as many planets as you can that have Baobabs). Build an Ambro base on that planet and make sure the base is Extraction Expert 20 (or new skill equivalent). Install as many Christmas Tree Cutters / Tree cutters as you can install to start producing Baobabs and slave them all over to C1. Again set C1 to buy as many Baobabs as possible at 1 credit and set C1 to sell Baobabs to the colony at just under the colony buy price. This again needs to be tracked regularly as the price will fall dramatically.

You can also sell Crack Whores to the colony.

Find a planet that has silicon on it and again build an ambro EE20 base on it. Install max advanced and normal silicon extractors onto it and slave all the available silicon to C1. Purchase 100 - 500 Crack Houses / Dens on C1 to make Crack Whores from the peasants that are already there. (remember C1 is buying 1 - 5 million peasants?) Crack dens with some cash, convert 1 peasant and 1 silicon into a Crack Whore. Again, as always, ensure that you track the sell price of the whores to the colonists or they wont buy them!

Well that’s a starters guide. There are some other very nice ways of making cash from colonies, but I wont give all my secrets away!!! You will have to find those out for yourself!

Enjoy and have fun making lots of cash! (though not quite as much as we all used to be able to make!)
