I wasn't able to test properly, but last uni, warptastic with 3x Std Range had between 2k and 3k range on it's weapon. That's laid by a droner that has Station Tweaking 12 or so (which should affect perm drone augs, according to what I hear)

Agreed, still a bypassable setup, can be tractored, but means it has to be tractored quite a bit further.

I'm trying to think of a different setup for warptastics this uni, but havn't come up with a plan, and don't feel like blowing through range augs again.

Oh, and a suggestion for those that never bothered to get Astral Injection, and have the points to blow, and can kill most AI through deeper W3 with ease, just skip all the intermediate steps, and farm 12x or so Xeno Shield Remains from picks. buy it all at once, I think from Bipolar?

i'd be pretty pissed if DM doesnt affect perma drones. but i can understand the 3x gen opps mastery not working on it, that would be broken. and whats this about station twaking affecting perma drones? why didnt i hear about this before :-P

perma drones and offensive drones are different

perma drones are the towers defending the citidel(the bases) and the offensive drones are the forward camps

get the skill up to 3 with blue dust or what ever it was, then kill 7 picks for remains and train up to 10 in EoTu. or just kill 10 picks
