How to make a good FC, not relying on radiation damage.

Now, there are many setups that still works for Fleet Commander, which does not rely on radiation damage. First off, let's present to you some of the most used setups.

- People with a Dreadnaught, combined with a variety of Aura Generators and Paxian Selenologica slaves.

For the first setup, I have seen many different uses of Selenologica slaves. Some use them for Uber Runs, some use them for Solo Runs. A good idea here is to get a Dreadnaught that can take some damage, make it a supporting Dreadnaught (Add in augmenters that will help you support your slaves), and setup your Selenologica slaves to either substain a decent damage, or just set them up for Rage damage.

This will be almost the same as a Shield Monkey using Selenologicas, but you have the option of adding in Aura Generators and fighters to support. Weapons such as Venusian Jackhammers, 3 Shooters, OHLs, Toomuch Liposuctions, Kikale Mzungu Warfares, Lion Breaths, works well. Use these slaves on Uber Runs with your team, and your FC will be a very nice support class with your Aura Generators and your damage.

- People with Capital Ships, relying on Mining Damage, mainly from Capital Lasers and fighters, combined with a dreadnaught.

This setup is just about as good as the normal Radiation setup. Use a setup with Capital Ship slaves, and now a good option is to leave out the highend figthers, and just add in the simple Dachshund fighters. Let your slaves use a setup that can substain the damage. It is very easy to find several setups that can substain the damage done with Capital Lasers. This is very useful for MF Reavers/Platties, and also works well in Perilous Space.

- People with a combination of Capital Ships and non-Capital Ships, using a main ship to support your slaves and fighters.

Here the main idea is to use substainable damage only, and have a main ship that can heal/support your slaves. You need to invest a lot of money and time in the main ship, and also the slaves, and it takes time to develop a useful setup for this, but once you have your setup, only a minor change in weapons or fighters can change the setup around so you have several more options in a fight.

- People with a Dreadnaught, combined with Wild RadEX'ed Slaves, supporting them with healing and Aura Generators.

Ever tried having fun with Wild Slaves? Some slaves, like the wild Kikale Mzungu Frigate, and the + version of the Big Green can actually be useful in some ways. Now you don't have to worry about the cost of the slaves, you just recap new slaves when they die. Very funny to play around with. Ever tried something like Multifiring Slumberchromes in Copper? High resists, and high energy damage, very fun.

Enjoy!

hi cse

nice post, could you put some dg levels to the set-ups you are suggesting ?

I think most of those will get you into df level 300.

I had 6 pax selens setup 4 athena+, 3 athena+ 1 ares+, 2 ares+ 2 athena+ with cr's* and PRH or i use my RH* + all the other stuff.

the mining 1 for marco,
energy setup for blob,
phy for alby
heat sputty
ect

which do you use for UZ ? and df 400?

i agree FC works but at a much reduced level of power without rad damage for df 400 and UZ

Why should you be able to solo DF 400 stuff, again? When even a zerker needs a shmonk?

Because he feels that his dread should be able to do more than a Lion?

tonal, I could use my current setup on CSE with radiation damage to do DF400, there is your answer.

I could solo DF400 in a Porp+ gunner augged 3x speedy exc. shield, without slaves. So being able to solo X or Y or YOURMUM does not prove anything at all. Setups are meant to be specialized, because if they try to be good at everything they excel at nothing.

I was waiting for that post CSE. I'd like to add that using 3 multifiring destroyer slaves , 2x adv std rage, with dachshund fighters works nicely too, especially with bodacious bravado aura, and regen-based dread that can tank and heal slaves when need be. As to the destroyers exact gear I will keep it a secret, however I assure you it's a tough cookie- long range, high rof mining damage and SDs keep their distance :)

I just did tragic Ka Lae DF360 on my lvl 1.6k FC no problems with this EFBC setup. Did it 4 times only lost one GG18 on a slave when it got gremmed and went out too far. If I can do it anyone can as im only a mediocre FC at best. resonating lib cap and radar give 154k shield and 311k energy when slave activated and X statused.

I fill the remaining hull up with laser vollies on the slaves

Selens for DG's and long-term support (emp kill) and team PvP,
EFBC's for Ubers.
