Post Video guides?
Hey all,

I've been playing with the idea of making a series of video guides for various aspects of the game. Since my previous guide was a bit wordy. Maybe people would prefer them in an easier to digest format?

I've scripted a beginners guide, and base guide, to be filmed when we've shiny c2 graphics so I don't feel like making them twice when c2 exists.

Good idea? Bad idea? Why?
Any suggestions for guide topics?

I've plans for:
- General beginners guide
- Base Building and Maintenance Guide
- Special Galaxy Guides (Reflector, Emphatic Biologique, etc.)

I've already started doing some of these tutorials, however I don't know ANYTHING about bases and such so feel free to take the realm of bases as your own.

Holy FUCK wall of text for that guide haha but I'll read it anyway.

I've gotten done a few videos..

First one is everything about low level slaves (used my level 112 to do that one).. Making them, figuring out the best setup for the slaves, aug setups, etc.

I've done one explaining the different areas of SS: DG's, The different warp gates, Perilous space, Iq' Bana, etc.

I've also done one explaining how the game works.. Movement, docking, navigating through AI bases and the SS universe, Warping, Shooting, avoiding enemy bullets, etc..

I'm currently working on one showing how to get t20 skills (However, that will take a bit longer than the most recent, because I can't solo so I'll need to set up team runs)

We can possibly do a few together maybe for Ubers or UZ Content using Ventrilo to get your voice into my recording, or mine onto yours?

I'd already have 3 or 4 of them done but the videos keep scratching up and desyncing around the 4 minute mark.. Any idea what could be causing it?

I use FRAPS, and I don't have this problem.
Are you using the most up-to-date version?

Yep.. I can get it to record but a 4min video from FRAPS is like 3 gigs...Youtube requires under 2gigs per video and I can't get them to compress properly.. I'm going to give Camtasia a try though.

i capture all my raw footage in FRAPS, then import it all into nero vision and edit the video, export out to mp4 and upload to youtube. You seriously dont want to be uploading an uncompressed FRAPS raw footage to youtube, its stupid huge.
