buying rare items in a dead economy
trade is dead outer rim outpost is dead
if you're looking for something that isnt common or expensive, you have practically no chance of finding it.. unless you use misc
post in misc, that the item doesnt exist
wait for people to say "bullshit, i have one in my thatch"
if you dont feel a strong urge to say "what the fuck, dont you read tradechat or something? i've been advertising that im buying one of these for the last 2 goddamn weeks for double the market price..." then you arent doing it right

Just because YOU fail at getting what you need doesn't mean trade is screwed. I buy and sell for large profit alot of the time like many others and we go along just fine. What is it exactly you need? How about hire someone to get it for you, I used to provide that service alot.

Time Warp I'm pretty sure he isn't failing at getting what he needs, he just thought of a humorous idea that could work if you need an extremely rare item when no one is buying/selling.

Re: buying rare items in a dead economy
Personally i have gained a rather large profit this uni from selling items through outer rim, and trade chat...i have also gained items in what i have been needing....so i have to dissagree with you.
