Right, so I made a spreadsheet which shows the SP needed to max skills in C2.
It's a little confusing, but I did rush it. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... n_GB#gid=0 tl;dr C2 LEVEL TOTAL: 590 C1 LEVEL TOTAL: 294 LEVEL DIFFERENCE: 296 _________________ |

with that much lvl difference and such a rift between c1 chars and c2, i doubt the new players that c2 would attract would stay for long once they see how much of a disadvantage they are at. And if it is decided to wipe all c1 chars imo a fair amount of ppl would just quit.
i know i would, after all the time i've sank into this game, if it was just wiped i would not be willing to start over. _________________ Expect to lose, Fight to win PaperTiger wrote: ugh, I wish I had time to try it, but I'm too busy thinking of ways to unbalance everything... Bowman |

Personally, I hate it. However, I will not bother voicing my opinion here as this will have to no affect on me.
Oh by the way though, this will be the new IT that newer players bitch about. _________________ Neba wrote: BLACK PEOPLE DON'T GET RICE andezrhode wrote: goett wrote: All oly ships look way to geometrically conservative for my tastes. thats because most graphic designers are squares goett wrote: Fired bullets taste like candy. |

Personally, I love it. I think that it will be the change that makes the difference between success and failure, so long as it is managed properly. It will not be the same SS. It will be Better. Stronger. Faster. More deliciously addictive.
Oh, by the way? In ten years, this will be the change that marked the start of success. _________________ JeffL wrote: That's it. I quit! Battlecruiser23 wrote: Fuck you, Cygnus. |

The new experience system is half of what we get. This means it's effectively 4x more levelling required.

If anything, it'll attract newbies more, because you don't have people power lvling their alts to a few hundred and using their resources to max their core skills - very easy at the moment whilst newbies fending for themselves take weeks and months of hard work. As it stands, SS is stagnant and uncompetitive. It's all too easy for the already powerful to make their alts and extra accounts to end-game in short spaces of time, and as the average and max levels just get higher, the gap between them and both newbies and players who are working their way through it themselves grows bigger; devaluing everything middle-game and leaving very little to ever happen in the universe as the game continually just gets bigger at the far end to accomodate ever rising levels whilst newbies are still stuck in the natural lower levels. |

So this will increase the price on characters ( accounts with characters ) of lvl 1k+ ^^ awesome ;p _________________ JeffL wrote: "Come have sex with me in space, my lord". You'd better not be talking about buying or selling accounts, cause you KNOW that's against the rules to discuss...right?

Graphics and control over your stuff is the major change that was made. Faster? Hardly. Addictive? Leveling is not the addictive part of SS, nor will it be. I'm not really sure what the change even solves... P.S: Mods really hate to be told how to do their job, demiser. _________________ http://forum.starsonata.com/download/file.php?id=8119 SunDog60 wrote: targeting my OWN slave because... reasons, and then MIRVing it. |

Hmm. I seem to have made it into someone's signature.
Problem being, I don't remember saying that... _________________ Lemon/Meo |
