So, What shall I talk about in this guide?
Should I give you a setup as to short cut the process of thinking and designing your very own? Should I ramble on about what gear is the best to use for a Seer? Or should I tell you how to approach certain classes in PvP? The answer to all of these is, No. I will not be mentioning any of these topics. My reasoning is because; A Seer should be able to come up with such ideas on his own. So what will I tell you about? So glad you asked. First off what is a Seer and how do I play one? A Seer is the class of thought. What has become apparent to me after many hours of playing this game as Seer is that, There is no specific way to play a Seer. There is a few tips that I have being given about playing a Seer, One of many is that; Make every shot hurt. Don't go shooting a Heph Machine with a PWAG for example; Your not going to do anything but prove how useless you are and give the enemy a good laugh. I should however clarify that in this context the word 'hurt' doesn't specifically mean damage to shield. A Seer doesn't need to fire a shot in a battle to be deadly. Being a Spotter for a much more serious damage dealing class can be just as fatal. The next tip I was given; Survival is priority, Nothing is more important. Threw surviving a conflict you do several things; Obviously you live to strike again, A Seer also makes the opponent frustrated and paranoid. It will also make the enemy obsessive taking their focus off their main goal. The third is more of a general rule; Keep your cool. Don't go raging on the forums or in galaxy chat should things go wrong. This also applies when winning. Your not impressing anyone and your not doing yourself any favours by gloating or mocking. Just take the result and learn from it. Wrapping it up; Seer is not a under-powered class. A combinations of Mines, Gremming, Tech 21 gear and Instinct makes Seer a class to be reckoned with. Respect to Jiraque, FFs V, Klestiko, Shafty, F.E.A.R, NBBA and Thermal for teaching and helping me become the Seer I am. EDIT: Should you have more questions or are curious about going Seer feel free to pm me in game on Bad at Games. I will be happy to go in to more detail. _________________ anilv wrote: Antilzah wrote: But Scyron also said Bad at Games class is pretty good at group content. We can code an exception for BaG. No talking in galaxy chat, now more than ever as messages appear above your location.

A seer can pick his own fights, so a good seer should be able to figure out when to press space and not. In a big pvp situation you will basically never have a ShM to watch your ass. _________________ JeffL wrote: I stopped being able to totally understand that function years ago. Timmeh I think they pop up once the target can see your ship Yeah, but you know how ships 'fade'... Sometimes a ship can be just on the brink of not being seen but still 'faded in', in which case the message would be seen. Thermal and Hooch are awesome. I see exactly what is there BaG. I would attach proof however you can't put attachments on the Guides forum. Fraid this thread is simply useless to anyone seeking advice about seers. Their better off going to basta for God's sake. |
