Star Sonata Chat Tutorial
Introduction -----The in-game chat is one of the most helpful, and at times entertaining aspects of the game. It's the key to communicating with other players and can also be used to execute several commands such as Autopilot, Lag Killer settings, and much more. Everybody from level 5s in The Nexus to level 4,000s in Olympus use the chat to help communicate. Let's start with some basics![/size] Rules and Mutes -----Before you run off and start talking you should read the rules and see what is and isn't ok to talk about. Chat Rules wrote: General Chat Rules Unless otherwise stated general chat rules apply to all chats. These chat rules also apply to Base Names & Descriptions -----If you're caught breaking of the these rules there is a decent chance you'll be muted. Not to worry though they will typically will only go to a two hour mute at the most; however, the moderator may do more or less depending on the offense. If you continue to break the rules you'll get a permanent mute. As you may of guessed this mute is permanent. Mutes also are account wide so talking on a alt will do you no good. User Interface This is what your chat will look like upon starting the game for the first time. -----To send a message you need to simply press the 'enter' key and start typing. Alternatively you may click on the tab you wish to talk into and begin typing. To send you message just press the 'enter' key again. You can cycle through previously sent messages using the 'up arrow' key. Chat Commands -----Chat commands are probably the least understood part of chatting. Some can be very confusing but we'll walk through some of the major ones and see what everything does. To see a list of every command in game type '/help' into chat and look at your Event Chat. Notice: Yea I got busy so the guide is going to be the way it is. I can't work on it. |

It's a competition. As I understand it, competitions normally require more than one person to compete. At least that's what Topbuzz says anyway |

well i thought it would be dumb to have to wait 1 week to find someone cant actually be bothered to post a tutorial. Otherwise I would of created 7 alt accounts on the day of the comp release and claimed them all! then sold the slots.. |

This is how I see it. To have an overview on who wants to do what, you post a claim in the topic Bageese made. space_spartan didn't even do that. Bageese wrote: 1. Claim a tutorial here. You can only have 1 tutorial claimed at a time. Now, it doesn't say that two players can't have the same claim, but it says the following. Bageese wrote: I encourage you guys to work together!!!! If someone claimed your topic PM them! You both can get a prize! Feel free to create a "WIP" post in guides if you need to have a place to collaborate. Now, I claimed the topic after contacting Septagons about his claims, and I got a clearance from him to work on the chat guide. So that is why I wanted to have him contact me about my claim, because the least thing he could do is to ask if we should work together (which Bageese encourages), but he didn't do such a thing. Is it really that hard to follow those 8 simple steps... Edit: For some reason I see that he did post a claim (even before me), but it has been edited. I entered the topic before I went to bed, and didn't update the first page before I responded in the morning, so I had no chance of seeing the edited claim. Guess that is sort of my bad then. |

its a competition after all, which should not be about who is quickest to post on a thread and type the word "claimed" nobody is stopping you making a better guide, as thats the aim of the competition to get the best content for the website. I think they should have a bunch of "nice try" secondary hand outs too as prizes, I expect there may be elements of people guides who don't win, that still may be used somewhere. |
