Post My character has been deleted. Where'd it go??
Wow, this game has gone a long way since I was away. (nice micro-transactions btw) I'm an old player from 2012 and I just recently came back to find that my character is gone. If there is anything you can do to help me it would be much appreciated.

Hello and welcome back to Star Sonata. Was your character on an account that had ever had a subscription paid, or had it always been free-to-play?

I was playing before subscriptions were a thing. So yes, it was always free-to-play. I am currently on the account right now (darkfallen).

I think you're confused, subscriptions started in like 2004. Are you sure you have the right game?

if your account was f2p and inactive for over 4 years it probably ended up deleted yes. altho we do not delete inactive characters anymore, it was pretty common in the past.

what level was your character ? I could not find any traces of it with the info provided.

Your best bet would be to fill in a ticket on http://support.starsonata.com and provide as much information as you can. If you are very lucky, your character may still be in an old backup, but depending on when you last played etc it may just not be possible to recover it.

Assuming it was deleted by the database cleanup system that we used to use, then it would have been pretty low level in which case, it should be pretty quick for you to get back to where you were (especially that leveling low levels is much easier than it was in 2012).

To be clear, if the character in question had never had a subscription paid ($10/month), and it's as old as your account suggests, it would have maxed out at level 20. You can attain that level on a new character within an hour or two nowadays.
