Currently there is no easy way to straight compare two items. This idea is pretty straightforward. When a player hovers the cursor over an item it will display a comparison between that item and the one you currently have equipped of the same item type. It will help when you've scooped new gear to determine if it's better or worse.

I don't see how this would work as the item information box never gives any information about attributes such as tracking, projectile charging time (if there is any), projectile/beam size, projectile speed (if there is any) and so on.

obviously it would only compare the stats it currently presents, if you want the tooltips to present more info then you should suggest that seperately

This would be cool, although i would like to see tracking added to weapon description first.

I wouldn't vote for this until the pop-up code is improved*. The last thing I want to see is TWICE as many poorly placed pop-ups on my screen.
*Avoid placing pop-ups over an open inventories. Pop-ups should vanish if an item is dragged over them (mouse-over is fine). _________________ Hi, I'm Anil, a long-time player turned developer.
