So we have t20 exe kits, now it's time for t20 colonies and artificial living quarters that happen to be rings™

Basic idea is that A t20 colony kit somewhat concentrates and improves the colony income of a galaxy in exchange for effort and slave infrastructure. Most/all planets would have some kind of inherent colony resource that must be extracted by an established (low tech) colony and exported to high tech colonies where they are consumed. There could even be production chains from low->mid->high tech colonies.


Why not all just t20 kits? Well, simply put I couldn't think of a way to do this without straight up buffing colony income per planet. At least with the upgrade pathway there'd be some variety and t20 kits would be better without flooding credits everywhere.


Or you could just make t20 kits buy IC and have fun with that...

Something like this is in the works, but it's attached to a broader revamp of the colony system. We have had plans drawn up for ages but it's lower priority than some of the other projects.
