A good seer can avoid a sniper using a spotty beam. I have better tracking than many, and I still have some troubles. However, slaves should not be able to use spotty beams(or grem weapons, for that matter).

Cant say a spotty beam has ever bothered me in pvp. Most Snipers arnt that bright... Most Seers by the looks of it to.

If you shoot a sniper, they can turn and fire at you once, and you now have 10 seconds of 1000+ vis. They can shoot you with what ever for how ever long they want. PWI away? Too bad, it has over 2k range.

Nerf the range, the time, and make it a little more expensive to obtain please.

Why not use seer warp device seeing how it places you BEHIND your target, if u fight a sniper just use it after he turned 90 degrees or use it on a nearby SD/fast moving planet

Gio's Sniper Delquad vs BaG's Seer AWC

Result: Inconclusive. AWC is not designed for Seer. Admins fix HERMES!!!

It was a good fight, spotty beam is fine.

Ive used 4-5+ snipers. A del, prawn and a few absentis'. Ive yet to use one that can "turn and fire at you once" with any real consistancy/accuracy when the seer is directly behind the sniper and flying away.

Have any of you faced a sniper that has any decent tracking?

I am sorry but..

You all people who say snipers can't turn around and hit with a spotty are so FULL OF SHIT

Make the spotty only last about 3 seconds and have lower range and recoil. 10 seconds of being visible is extremely broken, especially when 2-3 shots will kill you.

How many snipers have you used? If a seer does it correctly, a sniper will be hard pressed to spotty the seer. I mean, the tracking of the spotty ranges from 10 degrees to 30 degrees, depending on which character i used.

And lets be fair, 2-3 shots from a prawn will kill you of course, but only because the wep cost more than your ship. + this is a prawn we are talking about here, the thing 4-5 shots my zerker.
