Because the Oversized rosfire is 3 techs higher than the other rosfires, the inbuilt item it has is significantly underpowered. I recently tested it out versus several AI that you might be leveling on while using it and its healing and damage, even on a ship with 3 drone augs and on a level 1500 drone alt, were negligible. It would be pretty sweet if it were given a larger, better drone. Perhaps an Oversized Rosfire Drone?

Augmenters and skills don't effect superitems, so testing it using drone augs on a high level character won't make a difference.

But you have a point about the tech thing.
