Post Some PvP changes/ideas?
just to re-ignite this debate again:

Layered PvP System
Earthforce Space: NO PvP allowed (except between mutual warring teams) ~also, add more juxta's to deep DF's and move the t20 gals (bana, snake hole etc) to deep in this layer and open more space for content in peri
Wild Space: Uses current PvP level protection system (mutual warring teams have no level limit on PvP when fighting each other)
Perilous Space: Full PvP, no level protection

Reasons
Earthforce Space: "Safe Zone" those who wish to avoid PvP, can do content as they please in these levels, free of PvP distractions.
Wild Space: Same as it is now, systems works for most situations, keeps it fair.
Perilous Space: It's PERILOUS. Risk=Reward. To get the best content, you must brave the risks or travel in squads. Promotes teamwork for more content.

--- --- ---

To accompany this, a new Towing System:

How: Press "x" on dead ship, select 'Tow Ship to Sol'
Cost: Cost of the tow is related to the Gear Glue equipped when you died. i.e. if you had a tech 20 GG, cost of the tow is 100m.

Feature: Once a Tow is selected, a pop-up asks "Would you like to return to Sol with your ship?".
This is free in terms of cost, but the ship towed receives a hefty (-shield, -resists) debuff aura for 5 minutes once you re-enter the ship.

The reason for the debuff is to prevent something like:
e.g.
1) "Player A" is deep in Perilous DGing
2) "Player B" comes under attack in UZ ~"I need help!"
3) "A" then suicides, tows to Sol, and races to UZ to help "B"

With a debuff aura, this scenario and similar exploits can be avoided, or cripple the player trying this tactic.

Thoughts?

Probably not as many times as DM had to back when USA resorted to cheap tactics.

I think it complements the PvP system nicely, if you get killed by a pirating/warring/bored player, it's only going to cost you 1 or 2 GG (1 if you don't CG, cost of 1 for the tow) to escape back to Sol instantly, you can get right back into other parts of the game and keep interested.

Fully opening the pvp in perilous would be exciting imo, and having a "safe zone" all through EarthForce and an immediate tow option counteracts all griefing techniques.
