Lol.

"If you want to kill the halloween AI that's level 1000-1200, just go get a 40 billion credit weapon on your level 800 character."

....I say again, Lol.

Quit being stupid. You know damn well that there are excessive amounts of cheap, and even free, weapons that cut through them with not problem that are readily available at level 800.

If you don't want to put them on then quit crying and just don't kill Halloween shit.

Post Re: Make Halloween spawn equally resistant to all damage types
Ye gods, you people are idiots. You Are Missing the POINT. You should not HAVE to fork out ANYTHING to do HOLIDAY CONTENT. Look at ANY OTHER GAME.

Runescape for example; what do you have to do? You show up. That's it. You go there, you have a little fun, get a funny reward, and it's cool, and people love it. There are NO downsides.

In WOW there is another example; you have to run around putting our fires, and then you attack the LEVEL 11 ENEMY. You go to hallow's end, you have a little fun, get a funny reward, its cool, and people love it. there are NO downsides.

In ss, for comparison, we have an enemy that is level 1000(about the equivalent of level 50 in WOW or RS), and it is, for absolutely NO reason, nearly immune to ONE damage type. Do you know what that sounds like to me? That sounds like a massive "Screw You" to anyone that uses that damage type. NOT ALL PLAYERS USE MULTIPLE DAMAGE TYPES. Hell, almost all of my characters have specialized in, at most, two damage types, and many of them didn't even bother with that. It works just fine in nearly EVERY OTHER PART OF THE GAME, so why THE HELL do you think that we should be PENALIZED for using a PERFECTLY LEGITIMATE strategy that works in NINETY PERCENT OF THE GAME, for a HOLIDAY AI that DOESN'T EVEN DROP ANYTHING USEFUL?

What the HELL are you guys smoking?

Holiday gear in WoW and RS are fun rewards that don't define any real advantages in game. In SS, they do. Hence, you need to put in some work to get better gear.

I am ok with event gearing being good as long as it is available to all through a lockout system.

Being able to camp limited time drops is a bad idea.

I agree with you 100%! All the stuff that drops stuff worthwhile very often should have some strategy involved.

The jack'o'lanterns and whatnot, however, do not drop gear that sort of gear. I fully agree that the 'uber' type holiday content should require strategy and the correct damage type to hunt down, because they actually drop gear that is much better or different from other enemies.

But for the spawn, like willows, jacks, trolls, christmas pressies, etc, they shouldn't have any more resistance to any one damage type than another.

The capital ships, drop capital ship gear. T18, but decently good gear.

Needs more gear for capital ships to actually compare them and see if it was worth it, though...

Yeah, also the drop rate on them is so low that i've never even seen one. And the stats aren't that good to boot.

That might be off topic but they drop quite decent Capital ship only stuff - Shield, Energy, ... Maybe you should shoot a few more their drop rate is not high.
Btw - I use MTRs on them (as usual) so I think heat is more effective.

EDIT: I see Churchill did already enlighten you on the drops. Ofc they're not as good as the high-end stuff but wouldn't it be wrong otherwise?

Well, they're a fairly rare drop...and you can get some downright nice stuff from just random AI drops, which don't seem to drop from pumpkins.

Indeed. The pumpkins only drop missile crates and capship gear.

Not only that, but all three pumpkin ai drop the same gear.

TBH, Halloween should have a bit of change if they want to have Actual gear drop, rather than gear lotteries/mission rewards.
