I'm getting really tired of banging my keyboard's "C" key, I use OHLs and create a LOT of loot that I like to take out to sort and sell.
Please consider adding a couple DG scooping options: 1) Scoop everything I fly over till hull is full, * except what I've tossed. 2) Scoop everything above Tek Level X, * except what I've tossed. For both of these options coins are automatically scooped. BTW this isn't the first time I've made this type of a suggestion... first time was to the Atari Dev team who created Centipede, when I made it you had to bang the fire button for each shot fired. |

Here's a compromise: scoop everything in the area while 'C' is depressed. Does that work for everyone? Could even code it eventually to grab nearby loot with a tractor if you are still pressing 'C' and everything in range has been scooped.

Or use the new Alt + Key system to lock C down.

Aye, that would presumably be implemented if my suggestion went in, although... kinda broken for camping if the tractoring part worked as well. _________________ Hi, I'm Anil, a long-time player turned developer. Yeah, I keep thinking about making scoops just scoop 1 item per 500ms or something as long as you have it held down. I'm not sure about it, though...

Scooping "range" also might help as a skill for those of us who don't like "slamming the C key on the keyboard" a million times. viewtopic.php?f=97&t=48664 DGing is something that I feel has a specific purpose. That purpose being getting loot and/or getting levels. Aka grinding. Efficient scooping sounds like an awesome idea! Because at the moment, in DF250+, scooping for me takes longer than actually killing the AI. - Paxx _________________ Death to Pirates! http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2103/mutes.jpg |

I still think all ships should be able to scoop without a scoop.. and adding a scoop only for better stats .. Like scoop range, speed, or whatever mods the scoop has on it.

That, and it would just be good to have a tractor field(tractor that tractors every item in range and takes about the energy of 1 hitchikker per each item). |
