Post Radar Zoom Feature
Would be amazing. I would love to zoom out to say cover a 6k area. Also, can we smooth the radar up a bit in general? Make ships their proper size and such.

Agreed.

I would actually like it if the radar grey box actually looked like a radar, make it circular, have the cross hairs like in SS1, and resize it so it is accually useable. Right now its to small to work with easily.

If I recall correctly, the radar screen doesn't zoom out and in with the rest of the screen. It definitely should.

Yeah it doesnt really make sense if it doesn't zoom out as you zoom out. Although, I think one of the reasons why Jeff added zooming out so rediculously far was to use your screen as the radar. Instead of actually using the radar.

Makes sense to me!

Please do not link it with the normal zoom setting. I personally hate being zoomed out since details get gobbled up. If the radar could zoom out on it's own then I could get the best of both worlds.

Yeah just a scroll zoom function similar to the map's would be nice. And things needs to be sized correctly.

The radar is scheduled for a complete 100% re-do. Right now it's just been minimally ported over from C1. I think one aspect of the new radar was that the range on it is supposed to be based on your radars detection range, so a better radar item gives you a more zoomed out mini radar.

I actually like that idea.
