Post Seer's Scrying Orb
A seer only item that, when used, creates a spiritual version of the seer's ship. This ship cannot be seen or interfered with in any way, and while it is deployed the mothership is helpless. This item cannot be used while docked. It has a limit of 2-5 warps, and a time limit, after which it cannot be used again for a certain period of time. The spiritual ship cannot fire on or tractor anything outside of the spiritual plane, or deploy drones, fire missiles, or do anything that actively harms the target(outside the spiritual plane).

It can, however, scan things. And watch things.

The only way to remove this is through another seer; if they also enter the spiritual plane, they can fight others on this plane. If either spiritual ship is destroyed, the person is automatically cast back to their ship...but the spiritual dissonance damages their items by 10%.

Paxx, I think you should stop trying to post in seer suggestions from the last few posts you've been making, it is clear that either, you don't have a seer, don't know what a seer can do for a squad, and or don't care that the actions of a seer could turn around a battle or prevent it from happening in the first place.

Beel and Enk are golden, though. Gonna hate colo when Defqon finishes that ship.

Something tells me that this goes both ways, mainly becouse Churchil wants seer to get a drone that does some nice DPS (Seers are not very efficant droners) aswell as that this drone will make the seer gain 10k vis?
Now this is just something i think but if that drone were to be in the main Seer EQ why not just give em bost for Freighters seeing how most Seers would be in Heph machines laying drones?

I sorta like it. Want more spiritual plane ideas and usefulness but in essence has some real appeal.

This as stated wouldn't be very useful and you won't see much spiritual plane fights until we seer mOre seers in game.

Needs rethink but not bad start imo.

Well, the more content, the more seers you'd see :)

It would be especially cool if all ubers included a Spiritual Plane alternate level, so the seer could drop into that plane and fight the uber in different ways while the main squad fights it in reality.

EDIT: But that would be way down the line.

We have stealth for these activities already.

The reason why seers aren't as used for newer players:

1. To get good damage and stealth and enough speed to keep up with what you're trying to kill is kinda hard for newer players. The best you'll get is 2/3.

2. Still not enough augs that deal in crit/damage/shields/radar within T13-T19 regions.

3. Seers have fuck all hull on freighters and therefore lose out on bases. Furthermore, seer bases dont actually have a bonus(like sniper and engineer) to being seer.

4. Older players try to discourage those wanting to be seer by either being fuckwits or outright saying that seer sucks, in all regards.

5. In team fights, seers are kinda fragile, and their nature of stealth makes it hard for monkeys(if not impossible) to keep alive. Also not enough ubers that have relatively weak, but very dangerous spawns.



Scanning a non teammate base pisses the galaxy off towards your team, and it shoots your team. All of them. Even the monkey.

It's not like people don't scan and spy with out of pvp level alts, anyway. This would do two things; A, make this less morally objectionable, and B, give the defending players a way to fight back. Plus it provides a benefit to being a seer. Seems like all positives to me, but perhaps you don't agree? If not, please explain why :)
