Olympus Chargers! We need them!!
Compare the stats of Rhino Charger, the current shield monk charger. Rhino Charger: 63/shields per sec Elec: 300/s size 96 Olympus chargers should give + stats and a slight more shield regen, and all of them should be hull locked. So for example Heph Chargers can be Freighter locked, 70-100/shields per sec with like +6% resists or something like that. Actually I don't see why the Heph Machine's SSS isn't a epic t21 shield charger rather than a fucking useless weapon lol.

I 100% agree for a new line of chargers that are hull locked. That being said, the Freighter one should not have higher recharge over the Rhino Charger(I know, it sounds a little silly but listen!)
A well set-up Heph Machine can currently obtain ridiculously silly amounts of shield regen, it really does not need to be given the opportunity to easily obtain more 'free' regen. However, I would be totally game for a charger with a similar or slightly lower RPS in return for some sort of cool stat bonus like you suggested. Avoid that +resist idea though, for the same reason. It could be something like +speed, +tracking, -vis, some sort of cool bonus that would not break certain set-ups further. _________________ JeffL wrote: Come have sex with me in space, my lord |

An Oly-based charger that gives tracking would be awesome. A lot of Olympus weapons are low on the tracking and it's very difficult to improve that stat without using augs (only radars and weapons can be *scoped). It needn't be a straight upgrade to Rhino Charger, as Spatzz says.

With T20 augs only, my friend's HM gets 1884 RPS! And you want them to have more?

I disagree, the t21 freighter locked charger should add more shield regen than the rhino charger, and should give a slight resistance boost. What would be absurd is having a charger that shms are going to be using, giving less shield charge than its t20 predecessor for something as non beneficial to a class that already has massive shield trans tracking and range stats as tracking.
Saying that it would be OP is just plain dumb, for higher level ubers the difference between 100-200 shield regen is negligent. I like this suggestion and I'm going to consider making a line of t21 chargers to go with the t21 daily missions. These are my initial thoughts. As always, comments please:
Heph: 73 regen(+10 rhino) , speed bonus Pos: 52 regen (+10 zebra), shield cap or tracking bonus? (or both?) Ares: 43 regen(+10 panther) , small, neg vis or damage bonus? (or both?) Zeus: 50 regen(+4 madman, +12 cowboy) , -elec temp (thoughts on agility bonus?) (A note here, there isn't currently a line of cap ship only chargers in game. I believe the best at the moment are giga sponge, madman, and cowboy) |

For some of the chargers I have very specific reasons for suggesting the bonuses that I do, and I hope some people will understand why when they see the chargers. Ares Charger LF only Regenerate 30/s Electricity 150 Size 10 Weight 10 000 Improves: Tracking +30% Hephaestus Charger Freighter only Regenerate 69/s (Be careful here, and don't give it too much or it will be way too broken) Electricity 400 Size 160 Weight 200 000 Improves: Speed +10% Poseidon Charger Heavy Fighter only Regenerate 59/s (Primal Zebra Charger is already 50/s with 0.2 regen/energy) Electricity 270 Size 35 Weight 20 000 Improves: Hostility -30% Zeus Charger Capital Ship only Regenerate 62/s (Gigantic Cowboy is 57/s with 0.17 regen/energy at 120 size) Electricity 350 Size 90 Weight 250 000 Improves: Critical Hit Resistance +15% |

Also primal zebra charger gets the exact same regeneration as your t21 heavy fighter charger, so I would suggest you consider using +10 from the primal rather than the original. Mainly because the primal is supper easy to get.
Also I like 73 rather than 69 on the frighter xD But whatever, any increase is still and increase. All/most UZ chargers are amazing because they have high regen, and high regen/energy. I don't wanna see Olympus chargers ending up the same way. The idea for my suggestions isn't just to give more charging, but to give them a specific use in terms of a useful bonus. |
