Post subject:  Tweak Generators

I thought it would be a good idea if we could have a one-time purchase or blueprint
for the tweaks in game that are dropped from ai( Satanic Salvations, Blockers, Etc)
instead of them going un-used due to them being unreliable... how about we make
generators that drop via the loot table, are made via blueprint or are bought?

A few basic concepts must be used in order to make them viable though
- Restricted to one or two tweaks MAX at any time per generator and one generator per ship.
- Requires passive amounts of energy when running(but not when at max capacity).
- Requires alot of credits(one time purchase) in comparison to the tech and rarity of the tweak
- Produces tweaks periodically but not immediately, and not too long. (Say, 2mins a tweak sounds fair)
- Small or zero size when equipped
- One generator slot per ship

This opens the path for alot of new content that can be easily created and fun to
use such as custom tweaks that are generator only and obtained via mission chains
like the scrontonium 90 missions or paxius missions (you have no idea how much id
love a pax salv generator[like the device on the paximus]) or combo
generators that take twice as long but produce 2 different tweaks(probably
impossible to code but maybe even two random tweaks) each timer.


Maybe devmins could make some actually useful kikale/abadi/etc gear by making
these extracts and require the appropriate tech level in B/F/M/V Lore to use (and
ofc these specific ones would only produce the appropriate faction's special tweaks).



-Sticky to the ship would be nice, also. (like augs)

Sounds really cool but that thing with 1 gen per ship or 1-2 limit is a bit bleh coz I tend to carry 40 adv blockers, bout 20 obas, 10 gravitons and a few electron clouds sometimes and this whole thing would make me sad and cryin ;(

Then where is your problem?

Only two of those are tweaks.


As for the suggestion itself... I don't have a lot of comments currently, I'm thinking through a similar idea.

I wish I wouldnt have to carry 5 Source of Quant, 10 Blitz Crates 5 SSS crates 5 Adv Blocker Crates, 1 Assassination Crate, 10 Ace Pill Crates 30 adv blockers....15 Blitz turbos......10 sss.....5 candy mints.....a few konjatas.....5-10 PPGT.....10 swiftys.... and many more



DEARGH!!@! I want a cargo just for tweaks.....would pay on the billions for it.

Heres a few:

Barrier

+2000 shields , then after 5 seconds -2000 shield.

LF Locked.

Not to confuse with regen per second, solid number like a Colosseum shield boost.

5 limit, 2 minutes per




Bump tweak

Lf locked

+300% speed for .5 seconds
+100% thrust for .5 seconds
+1 forced thrust for .5 seconds

20Limit, 1 minute



Force field

Cap Ship Locked

+98% resists for .2 seconds, .2 seconds after 2 seconds, .2 seconds after 4 seconds, .2 resists after 6 seconds

Kind of like a flickering forcefield, it would reduce the overall dps.

Limit 1, per 2 minutes



Rage

HF only

-100% tempering for 5 seconds

Limit 1, per 4 minutes



Super ping

Seer only

+1000% radar for 10 seconds

2 limit, 2 minutes



Zoom

SD only

+100% speed for 30seconds

1limit, 1 minute


Spitting fury (more complicated)

FC only

Fighters only, +50% rof, +1000 elec regen (solid) for 10seconds

1 limit, 3 minute limit


Tweak gens should affect everything BUT damage. So there is plenty of stuffs to create. (Besides FC example)

Now that this post has been revived...

Seems cool. It should be a new class of item to avoid clashing with inbuilt item generators. Just like microwarpers, only one instance of the item class would be allowed to be equipped at a given time.
