Basically, the idea is of a weapon to be the Engineer counterpart to a Shield Monkey's healer wand. Instead of healing a target, the Augmentation bolsters the target's abilities through the weapon's side effect. Compared to Support Tractors, these weapons focus on offensive stats rather than defensive and everlasting. The onlt problem is that the actual effects are short lived, requiring the Engineer to stick to a single target.
The differences between weapon tech levels (tier 1 weapons versus tier 2) would be the cost to support the weapon decreases and the tracking increases. I don't want low levels to be completely outgunned, so any changes in side effect strength should be minimal. |

I really think Engineer is the one class that doesn't need any adjustment.
